Blog by Ray Sim: http://blog.simslearningconnections.com/

About the Blog

This blog is my personal learning journal, which started life in January 2007 with a focus on individual and organizational learning on behalf of improved workplace performance. Over time, the blog has taken on a broader range of topics that represent my interests and learning goals of the moment. In this particular moment, these are:

  1. Supporting securing full-time employment at the intersection of people, technology, and content
  2. Understanding and contributing to the “Enterprise 2.0″ conversation
  3. Increasing my understanding of networks (especially learning networks) and social media
  4. Taking a fresh look at “knowledge management” — attempting to answer “where is the discipline going?”, “Is the KM label still a useful umbrella term?”, “What is the relationship to ‘learning & development’?”, and similar questions
  5. Taking a fresh look at communities of practice
  6. Contributing to the further evolution of personal learning environment and personal knowledge management concepts

My companion blog, All The Rest…, serves as both a back-channel for the main blog (providing reflections on the blogging experience, occasional statistics, and comments on software experiments or updates to Main) and a place to follow Ray as a person, contrast to Ray’s learning and knowledge-sharing.

The views expressed on this website/weblog are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of my current, former or future employers.

Thanks for joining in this exploration.
