About the Blog
This blog is my personal learning journal, which started life in January 2007 with a focus on individual and organizational learning on behalf of improved workplace performance. Over time, the blog has taken on a broader range of topics that represent my interests and learning goals of the moment. In this particular moment, these are:
- Supporting securing full-time employment at the intersection of people, technology, and content
- Understanding and contributing to the “Enterprise 2.0″ conversation
- Increasing my understanding of networks (especially learning networks) and social media
- Taking a fresh look at “knowledge management” — attempting to answer “where is the discipline going?”, “Is the KM label still a useful umbrella term?”, “What is the relationship to ‘learning & development’?”, and similar questions
- Taking a fresh look at communities of practice
- Contributing to the further evolution of personal learning environment and personal knowledge management concepts
My companion blog, All The Rest…, serves as both a back-channel for the main blog (providing reflections on the blogging experience, occasional statistics, and comments on software experiments or updates to Main) and a place to follow Ray as a person, contrast to Ray’s learning and knowledge-sharing.
The views expressed on this website/weblog are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of my current, former or future employers.
Thanks for joining in this exploration.
